Senior Year One- Jalex I groaned and rolled over. The steady beeping of my alarm ceased when I slammed my hand into the clock, hitting every button simultaneously. Limp, my hand slid down to hang over the edge of my bed. Mornings weren't my favorite. My cheap, red phone hit the carpet with a dull thump. With another groan, I reached towards it and felt my whole body slip off the slick sheets. Butterflies swarmed my stomach. "Oh fu-" My face connected with the floor and my legs flipped over me. Suddenly awake, the fall flipped me over and onto my back. I applauded my own clumsiness as all of the air rushed from my lungs. A knock sounded on my door. "Jack?" "I'm fine, May. Fell outta bed." I heard her grunt in recognition before her footsteps sounded down the hallway. Sighing, I rolled onto my stomach and reached for my phone. Senior year Ch. 4 - Jalex It had been a week since the party with Leon. Ever since I'd told Alex, he stared at the popular kids with such hate in his eyes, I found my stomach churning.
